How do I get a CIS tax rebate?
To get your CIS tax rebate you need to complete a Self Assessment tax return.
A tax return has to be submitted each tax year, and will calculate how much tax you are owed.
The easiest and preferred way to submit a tax return is online, but it can be done on a paper return. Different deadlines apply to each form of submission.
You must complete your tax return by either 31st October ( paper tax return ) or 31st January ( online ). If your return is not submitted on time you will incur late filing penalties.
When your tax return has been processed, HMRC will notify you of the amount of tax you are owed, and issue any repayment due by bank transfer or cheque.
